Our Board & Train programs are designed as short, intensive jumpstart accelerators (2–3 days). Our programs are meant to boost progress, not replace training. These programs are not “quick-fix” solutions or full complete programs for someone to do the work for you — they are part of a structured training journey… Because real results come from teamwork, guidance, and follow-through!

Our Home away from Home Boarding Facility

Your dog stays inside the Black Pirate Pup Co. cushy and cozy boarding kennel, with access to:

• Kennel temperature monitored and controlled at all times
• Backyard runs for fresh air, sun, and relaxation
• Supervised yard time throughout the day
• A tv inside the kennel to keep pups entertained and stimulated when not outside or playing
• 24/7 kennel camera for trainer to monitor and check in at all times
• A predictable routine that mirrors your training structure (calm, rules, boundaries)
A familiar space = less stress, smoother transitions, and happy pups.

only two board and trains allowed on property per stay. this is to ensure all dogs get along together, can hang out in the home setting as a pack and be able to give each dog the attention and training they deserve without being overwhelmed and overstimulated

DECKHAND DRILL CAMP — 2 DAY INTRO PROGRAM

A tough, no-nonsense crash course for dogs learning the ropes.

The Deckhand Drill Camp is a structured, behavior-focused 2-day intro training that builds obedience basics and household manners through consistency, clarity, and the signature Black Pirate Pup Co. approach.

THE BLACK FLAG BOOTCAMP — 3-DAY REFRESH INTENSIVE FOR ESTABLISHED/ RETURN CLIENTS

The Black Flag Bootcamp is a high-intensity, 3-day board-and-train designed to sharpen manners, fine tune established obedience, build impulse control, or sharpen already established service tasks— all under the disciplined Black Pirate Pup Co. style.

WHAT this bootcamp teaches

⚓ 1. Task Foundations (Building Blocks)

• Shaping engagement (focus on handler, name response, check-ins)

• Marker training refresh (clear ‘yes,’ ‘good,’ & release cues)

• Precision luring & targeting mechanics

• Calm body handling for future public access

⚓ 2. Intro to Common Early-Stage Tasks

These are beginner, task-adjacent foundation behaviors — not finished tasks.

• Nose/hand targeting

→ Used later for DPT, item retrieval cues, opening doors, alert chains

• Paw/pressure placement foundation

→ Early work for grounding, interrupting panic cycles, body pressure

• Beginning spatial tasks

→ “Under” placement command for outings, hyper vigilance handler spatial tasks

• Interrupt behaviors

→ Gentle nudges or nose boops to break anxious cycles (intro only)

⚓ 3. Public Access Foundations

(Not full PA training — just fundamentals)

• Neutrality around people/dogs

• Controlled entrances/exits

• Ignoring food distractions

• Polite behavior during human conversation

• Settling under table / at handler’s side

• Maintaining engagement in mild distractions

SERVICE TASK INTRO BOOTCAMP

3-Day Foundations Program — For Approved SDiT Only

A structured, fast-track board & train designed to introduce approved service dogs in training to the fundamental task-building foundation behaviors they will need as working service dogs.

This is NOT a full service-dog program — it’s the first step for dogs who have already been evaluated and approved for service dog work through Black Pirate Pup Co.

This bootcamp is exclusive to:

• Dogs who have passed a Black Pirate Pup Co. SDiT Evaluation

• Dogs showing stable temperament, trainability, and neutrality

• Handlers enrolled or planning and contract signed to enroll in the full SDiT program

Boarding for Established Clients — No Training, Just Care

Safe Harbor Staycation is Black Pirate Pup Co.’s boarding-only program for dogs who have already completed training with you. It gives your trusted clients a safe, structured, in-home environment where their dogs can relax, follow familiar routines, and feel like part of the crew.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

• Boarding in your indoor temperature controlled kennel

• Multiple potty breaks + structured yard sessions

• Feeding schedule matched to home routine

• Daily photo/video updates sent to the owner

• Access to outdoor kennel yard for sniffing, sunbathing, and supervised freedom

• Medication administration (oral/topical)

• Light reinforcement of existing manners (sit before doors, no bolting, crate calmness)

Note: No new training sessions are included.

This program is exclusive to:

• Past or current training clients

• Dogs who are crate trained or comfortable in a kennel environment

• Dogs with no human aggression history

• Dogs who are neutral or manageable around other dogs
